Mike was always patient, knowledgable, and thorough in his explanations, and he stood by his word and the guarantees they gave us. But what stands out is that they have the best customer service. Our chimney must have been one of the toughest out there to clean, and they did an amazing job cleaning it. They went above and beyond to explain everything to us, do thorough cleanings (whether the standard sweep or the needed PCR cleaning), and work with us to resolve the problem as best as possible. It ended up being Stage 3 Creosote (a bigger job than a standard chimney cleaning), and so Mike and his team consulted and worked with us so we could feel comfortable doing the PCR cleaning. We just bought a house this summer that had an incredible amount of build-up in the chimney (the previous owners must have rarely, if ever, had it cleaned). ![]() After researching all the companies in the area, reading reviews, and learning about the services, I'm so glad we went with them. Thank you for impressing someone who is not so easily impressed these days. I'm so impressed with their customer service and their very caring nature. They are now trying to see if they can find parts (30 year old unit) to do some repairs to give me another 12-18 months to prepare my budget for a new unit. They understood that my fireplace is the main source of heat for my place and that $5K for a new unit is not in my budget right now. This time two very knowledgeable techs came out and didn't just take more photos, but did another total evaluation. Two days later Midtown called and said they were missing some photos and would like to come out and double check everything for the quote. He took some photos and said that he would have a quote in a day or so. The tech was nice but really didn't have great news and told me that my entire unit needed to replaced. ![]() Someone came out within a couple of days. I'm thrilled that I found Midtown Chimney. I was really surprised to be having such difficulty finding someone to help me. I called several companies that were all too busy and generally not helpful. When my gas fireplace was reported to have a serious CO1 leak and was turned off, I started looking for help. I'm a business owner myself and a HUGE stickler for customer service. ![]()
